Greetings, fellow fabric-loving human!

I’m Angel, but everybody calls me Bagel. I tend to be as colorful as my fabric, and I love art and creating things out of all sorts of mediums.

I’m a giant nerd. My favorite movies are Lord of the Rings and The Matrix. My favorite book is The Hobbit. I usually listen to audiobooks, so that I can be making things WHILE reading. Wil Wheaton is my favorite narrator. I love comics and comic book movies. Kevin Conroy was the One True Batman. Deadpool is my favorite hero.

About 15 years ago, my sister and I started a small handmade business where we made nerdy wallets and skirts. This is where we got addicted to buying all of the fun, geeky fabrics.

When we decided that we wanted to stop dedicating every weekend to things other than family and home life, my sister decided that fun fabrics were still too fun to give up, so she pivoted Geeks with Scissors into a fabric shop. Eventually, she decided that she could use the time and space for her family, and so I took it over from her and moved everything into my spare bedroom!

Now the shelves of fabric have grown to accomodate new and exciting designs and collections, and I don’t intend to stop any time soon. Everything happens for a reason, and I appreciate that our little handmade family business has allowed me to grow into this fun niche market, and hopefully grow still more in the future.
